I’m Heather, the travel advisor behind DK Adventures. Long before I started planning travel professionally, I was the person friends and family came to when they wanted help turning an idea into a trip. I loved digging into a destination—not just finding what there was to see, but learning how people live, what they eat, where they gather, and the experiences that make one place feel completely different from another.

That same curiosity is at the heart of DK Adventures today.

When we start planning your trip, I don’t expect you to arrive with an itinerary—or even a destination—figured out. I want to know what excites you. How do you like to spend your days? What have you loved about past trips? What would make you come home saying, I can’t believe we got to do that?

From there, we build.

I believe in thoughtful planning without overplanning. A memorable trip might include a food tour that introduces you to a city through the people who live there, a day spent cycling through the countryside, or a local guide who helps you see somewhere differently. But it should also leave room to wander down the street that caught your eye, linger over lunch, or change plans because someone local gave you a recommendation you can’t resist.

The itinerary gives you confidence. The space within it gives you the adventure.

Travel the Way You Travel

There isn’t one right way to experience a destination.

Some travelers want to hike, bike, ski, golf, or explore from morning until night. Others want a beautiful hotel in the right neighborhood and plenty of time to discover what’s outside the front door. And often, the people traveling together don’t want exactly the same thing.

That’s okay.

My job is to listen, ask questions, research the possibilities, and create a trip that balances those differences while still feeling like your vacation.
